EXTENDED SET – RESURRECTIONS

The Hexapteryga symbolize the hexapteryga Seraphim, one of the nine orders of Angels, but also all the angelic forces that accompany the entrance of the Gospel and stand in honor of God.

They are placed on pillars in the Holy Altar, behind and east of the Holy Altar and in the middle they bear the Holy Cross. They are always ahead of the Entrances of Holy Masses, Vespers, Litany, Divine Liturgy and Exodus.

The Hexapteryga are metal banners with representations of radiating angelic figures, with embossed, two-faced representations of six-winged Seraphim, in wood or metal, gilded or silver-plated.

Figures of Christ, the Virgin Mary, various Saints and the Resurrection are also depicted.
There are also smaller ones, the table Hexapteryga that are placed above and east of the Holy Table.
