ANALOGY & PSALMS

The lecterns are inclined pieces of furniture used in the ritual part of the various sacraments and serve for the sacred chanters to place their books.

They meet outside the solea in front of the north and south gate of the sacred Step or Right and Left of the "Beautiful Gate", at a shorter distance from the iconostasis.

The lecterns are placed in front of the Psalmists' pews. They are made of wood or aluminum and the most common technique is hand carving and hand engraving.

The Psalters are hand-carved wood or aluminum constructions, where the psalteries place the holy books.
